Morgan, Founder of Rooted
Morgan Parker founded Rooted becuase she wants every mother to feel empowered, confident, and connected in their motherhood journey
WHY
Morgan founded Rooted after realizing something was missing in her first year postpartum with her daughter, Izzy. While new mom groups around town were helpful, she longed for a place to go when a support group wasn’t in session. As Izzy grew, so did Morgan’s vision—a safe space where babies could play while moms took time for themselves. Reflecting on the profound impact her new mom friends had on her postpartum journey, Morgan was inspired to create that same sense of community and support for other mothers.
Before Rooted
Morgan is a speech pathologist and infant feeding specialist who believes that empowering parents makes the biggest impact on a child’s development. She realized that while her time with each child was brief, parents are the ones who shape their child’s daily experiences. At Connecting SLP, Morgan prioritizes parent education and training, helping parents become the most effective advocates for their children. Her own pregnancy journey deepened her focus, extending her work to support mothers through preconception, pregnancy, birth, and early infancy. By offering this guidance, Morgan aims to reduce or even prevent the need for intervention later on.
Core of Rooted
Her practice and work is founded on the principles of responsive parenting, attachment theory, and holistic well-being - for the mother and baby. This translates into our offerings and foundation at Rooted - Connection & Community, Holistic Support and Education, and Well-being and Empowerment.
That’s why Rooted is a motherhood community preconception through infancy. Our motherhood journeys start long before baby arrives.
